Women's tennis gets back on track with 7-2 win over Bruins

TACOMA, Washington – The top four players for the Puget Sound women's tennis team won each of their singles and doubles matches as the Loggers beat George Fox, 6-3, in the Tennis Pavilion Sunday afternoon. The Logger men, meanwhile, lost at George Fox, 9-0.

Lisa Owen and Nicole Bouche still have not lost an NCAA D-III match between singles and doubles competition this season. Owen beat her No. 1 George Fox counterpart (6-0, 6-0), and Bouche won at No. 2 singles (6-1, 6-4).

Bridget Myers was victorious at No. 3 singles (6-3, 6-2), and Barclay Fagg won at No. 4 singles (6-3, 6-2). Lia Van Steeter pulled away with a win at No. 6 singles (0-6, 6-3, 1-0).

Owen and Bouche won in No. 1 doubles competition (8-4), while Myers and Fagg won on the No. 2 doubles court (8-2).

The Logger teams continue their Northwest Conference schedules against Willamette (March 16) and Pacific (March 17) next week. The women compete on the road, and men play host in the Tennis Pavilion.
