TACOMA, Washington – The 2019 Puget Sound baseball season came to an end Saturday when the Loggers hosted Whitworth and Whitman for non-conference games. The Loggers lost to the Pirates, 14-1, and fell to the Blues, 12-3.
Puget Sound also recognized senior student assistant Robby Lundquist, and the Loggers celebrated assistant coach Bob Walz's 25th year on staff with the Maroon & White.
A couple of Loggers hit their first home runs of the season during the last day of the season. Ricardo Barraza hit a solo home run in the second inning against Whitworth, and Shane Himeda also hit a solo shot in the eighth inning against Whitman.
