RANCHO CORDOVA, California – The Puget Sound men's and women's crew teams wrapped up the final day of racing at the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships on Sunday morning. Four boats qualified for finals and all had strong showings despite fierce competition.
The men's varsity-eight finished sixth in the petite final, timing in at 6:57.8.
Three Logger women's varsity-eight boats competed in finals as well. The first varsity-eight took fifth place in the grand final with a time of 7:17.8, beating out Orange Coast College. The second varsity-eight boat was sixth in the JV grand final, crossing the line in 7:53.6. The Loggers' third women's varsity-eight boat took second in the JV petite final, finishing in 7:53.2, just behind Pacific Lutheran.
Puget Sound's next regatta is the Meyer/Lamberth Cup taking place on Saturday, May 2.
