Still on Stellan

Stellan Roberts had one of the most remarkable weekends in recent Logger basketball history, and he was subsequently named the Logger of the Week. Roberts hit the game-winning shot against Pacific Friday (Jan. 10), and the following day he scored his 1,000th career point against Linfield (Jan. 11). Trailing Pacific by one point with one second on the clock in regulation, the Loggers inbounded the ball from half court. Roberts received the pass from John Misel, and he hit an improbable, game-winning 3-pointer from 24-feet to beat the buzzer and the Boxers, 89-87. Less than 24 hours later, Roberts became the second Logger in as many years to reach 1,000 career points (Jimmy Wohrer '19).

Playing like Jourdan

Freshman Jourdan Joseph has been providing a big spark off the bench for the Loggers. Through his first four collegiate games, Joseph is averaging 13.8 points in just under 20 minutes per game.

Fresh looks from distance

Two Puget Sound freshmen lead the team in 3-point shooting (min. 20 attempts). Jourdan Joseph is connecting on 3-point shots at a 52.4-percent clip, while John Misel is shooting 41.3-percent from beyond the arc.

Battling on the boards

Cal Hansen is the Loggers' second-leading rebounder with 5.6 rebounds per game, but he is averaging 8.0 rebounds through the last three games. He's also averaging 11.0 points and shooting 60-percent from the floor during that stretch.

Recent history

The Loggers are 5-2 in their last seven games against the Lutes. All five wins for Puget Sound are by more than 10 points.

Scouting Pacific Lutheran (5-8, 1-3 NWC)

The Lutes recently snapped a three-game losing stream by beating George Fox, 87-76 (Jan. 11). Jordan Thomas is the conference's fourth-leading rebounder (6.7), and Leighton Kingma is the team's leading scorer (15.1). The Lutes' 62.8 field-goal percentage is the second-worst mark in the NWC, but PLU is the top rebounding team in the conference (40.8).
