Reimers, Skog both win two individual races at Whitman

WALLA WALLA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's and women's swim teams wrapped up its eastern Washington road trip at Whitman Saturday afternoon. The Logger men lost to the Blues, 120-78, and the Logger women fell by a score of 147-58.


Dylan Reimers won the men's 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:04.86, and he was victorious in the 500 freestyle by touching the wall in 5:00.00. Matthew Cole also earned a victory for the Puget Sound men, finishing the 50 freestyle in 22.22. Ian Conery earned nine points for the Loggers by winning the 100 breaststroke in 1:02.04. 

In women's competition, Calista Skog continued a strong weekend. She won two individual races: the 200 freestyle (2:00.99) and the 100 butterfly (1:00.21). Kayli Brown placed second in the 1650 freestyle (19:38.11), and Sofi Vazquez was third (20:00.05) in the same event. Aza Verhoeven was third in the 100 backstroke (1:02.60), and Bridget Fetty placed third in the 400 IM (5:02.15).

Puget Sound returns home to host George Fox Friday, Jan. 18, at 6 p.m.
