MOSCOW, Idaho – The Puget Sound track & field teams competed in Moscow, Idaho over the weekend with the women's team turning in some highlight performances.
Andrea Leiken led the Loggers with a standout 400m dash time on Friday. She ran a 58.89 to place fifth in the event among a handful of Division I student-athletes. Leiken's time was another school-record and currently ranks in the top-25 in Division III.
Leiken ran the 400 again on Saturday and recorded a 1:00.81 to place 11th. She also placed 13th in the 200m dash with a time of 26.65.
Alicia Burns had the highest individual finish of the day, coming in 10th in the 800m. Burns posted a time of 2:29.13.
The Logger women's relay took second for the highest finish of the weekend for the Loggers. The Loggers posted a 4:15.39 to finish just behind Spokane CC.
On the men's side, Bryan Soto came in 21st in the 800m with a 2:03.19. Joe Cerne posted the highest individual finish in 15th of the pole vault. He cleared the 3.75m mark (12-3.5).
The Loggers head to the Husky Classic and UW Open next weekend to wrap up the indoor season.
