Tome comes up with 11 saves in scoreless tie at Willamette

SALEM, Oregon – The Puget Sound women's soccer team reached a scoreless tie at Willamette Sunday afternoon. Freshman goalkeeper Chaylea Tome made a season-high 11 saves for the Loggers.

Seven of Puget Sound's (5-2-1, 3-0-1 NWC) 18 shots were on goal, while Willamette (4-3-1, 3-0-1 NWC) put 11 of its 25 shots on target.

After 110 minutes of the Northwest Conference matchup, Puget Sound still holds a five-game unbeaten streak. The Loggers have allowed only two goals through that stretch.

The Loggers' best chance at notching a golden goal at Willamette came in the second overtime. Gabbie Berg one-touched a through ball to a streaking Radhika Webster Schultz.

Webster Schultz fired a shot from the top of the box, but the Willamette keeper made the save.

Puget Sound's road stretch continues at Lewis & Clark Saturday, Oct. 5.
