TACOMA, Washington – A seven-game unbeaten streak is on the line when the Puget Sound women's soccer team hosts Pacific Lutheran Wednesday, Oct. 9, at 3 p.m. in Baker Stadium.

Inside the streak

Puget Sound (7-2-1) has not lost since dropping a 1-0 decision at home against Northwest, Sept. 7. In the seven games since, the Loggers have six wins and a scoreless tie at Willamette. The Loggers are outscoring the opposition 13-3 during the streak.


Berg with ice in her veins

Gabbie Berg was named the Northwest Conference Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week after she totaled five points between two road wins last weekend. Berg scored twice during the Loggers' 2-1 victory at George Fox (Oct. 6), and she assisted on a goal when the Loggers beat Lewis & Clark, 2-0 (Oct. 5).


Spread the wealth

Seven Loggers have scored goals this season, and four have multiple goals. Gabbie Berg leads the way with four goals. She is followed by Ava Cholakian (3), Kylee Roath (3), and Genevieve Cheatham (2).

Looks good, Tome

Freshman goalkeeper Chaylea Tome is off to a great start in her collegiate career. She ranks second in the NWC for both saves (50) and save percentage (.877), and her 0.68 GAA ranks third.


Scouting Pacific Lutheran (8-1-1, 6-0 NWC)

The Lutes' lone loss this season was a 1-0 decision against Claremont-M-S (Sept. 6). Meghan Michels is tied for the conference lead in scoring with seven goals, and her four assists also ties her for the NWC lead. The Lutes have allowed just two goals this season.
