Cholakian scores twice in 4-1 win at Whitworth

SPOKANE, Washington – Freshman sensation Ava Cholakian scored twice to lead the Puget Sound women's soccer team to a 4-1 win at Whitworth Sunday afternoon.

Cholakian's first goal of the game gave the Loggers (10-3-1, 8-1-1 NWC) a 2-0 lead in the 40th minute. She scored again in the 77th minute to cushion the Puget Sound lead to 4-0. Her five goals this season is the second-best total for Puget Sound.

Logger senior Gabbie Berg found the back of the net in the 55th minute, putting her in a tie with Kylee Roath for the team lead in scoring with six goals. 

Radhika Webster Schultz got the scoring started Sunday by netting her second goal of the season in the 17th minute. She also assisted on Cholakian's second goal.

CeAnn Romanaggi added to her Northwest Conference leading assist total (eight) by helping with Berg's goal.

The Loggers are back on East Field to host Linfield Saturday, Oct. 26, at 12 p.m.
