TACOMA, Washington - The Puget Sound women's soccer team shutout Linfield, 5-0, to tally another win for a four game win streak on Saturday afternoon on East Field.
With the victory, Puget Sound improves to 11-3-1 overall and 9-1-1 in the NWC. The Wildcats fall to 7-8-1 overall and 6-4-1 in conference.
Kiana Serrao tallied the first and fifth goals of the game. The first goal came in the 37th minute, off a pass from Radhika Webster Schultz, Serrao took a quick dribble and struck the ball past the goalkeeper. The sophomore's second goal came in the 77th minute when Tess Carden passed a long ball to Serrao and with a quick touch found the left side of the net.
At halftime the Loggers were up 2-0.
The Loggers continued the momentum in the second half, as Radhika Webster Schultz maneuvered down the right side and cut back towards the middle defeating the defender and crushing the ball into the top left corner of the goal. Three minutes later, CeAnn Romanaggi recorded her first goal of the season with a quick touch on a crossed ball from Maiya Pacleb.
Puget Sound's Chaylea Tome tallied two saves in the contest.
The Loggers host Willamette on Sunday, Oct. 27 at 12 p.m. on East Field.
