Women's soccer to celebrate seniors this weekend

TACOMA, Washington - The Puget Sound women's soccer team celebrates its three seniors this weekend when Puget Sound hosts Lewis & Clark (Nov. 2) and George Fox (Nov. 3).

Senior Day 

Before kickoff on Sunday, Nov. 3, the Loggers celebrate three seniors playing in their final collegiate home game: Gabbie Berg, CeAnn Romanaggi, and Jess Tierney.

 

Goals on goals on goals 

Four different Loggers found the back of the net last weekend, improving the Loggers' record to 11-3-2 overall and 9-1-2 in conference. Sophomore Kiana Serrao and senior CeAnn Romanaggi had two goals, each. 

 

Student-Athlete of the week

Romanaggi netted her first two goals of the season, scoring one in the Loggers' 5-0 win over Linfield, and getting the other in a 1-1 tie with Willamette. She was subsequently named the NWC Student-Athlete of the Week for offense.

 

Scouting Lewis & Clark (7-8-2, 6-6-1) 

The Pioneers suffered one loss last weekend against the Lutes (Oct. 26), but they bounced back quickly defeating Linfield (Oct. 27) and Willamette (Oct. 30). Shelby Vaver leads the team with four goals on the season. Goalkeeper Abby Prager has started six games for the Pioneers, recording 29 saves and a 0.58 GAA. Puget Sound took the 2-0 victory over Lewis & Clark earlier this season. 

 

Scouting George Fox (4-8-3, 2-8-2) 

The Bruins suffered two losses last weekend against Whitworth (Oct. 26) and Whitman (Oct. 27). Madison Burch and Claire Wright lead the team with three goals, each. Puget Sound defeated the Bruins, 2-1, earlier this season.
