Loggers get Senior Day win over George Fox

TACOMA, Washington - The Puget Sound women's soccer team wrapped up its last home game of the season with a Senior Day victory over George Fox, 1-0, at Baker Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

After a scoreless first half, Puget Sound's (12-4-2, 10-2-2) Sarah Nasson maneuvered down the right side and uncorked a shot from a tight angle that ricocheted off the goal keeper only to find Genevieve Cheatham for a quick touch into the back of the net.

The Loggers put eight total shots on goal.

On the other end of the field, Puget Sound had a tough defensive line, keeping George Fox (4-10-3, 2-10-2) out of the net. The Bruins had only five shot attempts throughout the contest none of which were on goal.

Prior to the game, Puget Sound celebrated its seniors and loved ones: Jess Tierney, Gabbie Berg, and CeAnn Romanaggi

Puget Sound will take on Pacific Lutheran at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6, in Parkland, Washington.
