The Puget Sound women's soccer team has won 14 consecutive Northwest Conference titles. The 2015 Loggers had one of the best defensive seasons in program history as they made yet another run in the NCAA Division-III Tournament. Puget Sound allowed only three goals in 22 games, as the defensive effort was led by NWC Defensive Player of the Year and All-American Liz Blonden. On the offensive end, two-time NWC Offensive Player of the year and two-time All-American Amalia Acorda-Fey tallied 14 goals, including nine game-winners.

Joseph Vari was named the head coach of Puget Sound women's soccer in March 2016. He spent the previous seven seasons as the women's soccer head coach at Rhodes College (Southern Athletic Association).
