Monaghan and Metzler lead the Loggers in Oregon

ESTACADA, Oregon – Puget Sound men's sophomore Colin Monaghan beat 118 runners, and Logger women's junior Rachael Metzler finished 17th out of 131 runners in the Lewis & Clark Invitational at McIver Park Saturday.


Monaghan crossed the 8k finish line in 24:45.9 to win outright for the fourth time this fall. Cody DeWitt finished 50th overall (26:55.1), and Basil Engledow placed 81st (27:59.1).

Metzler finished the women's 6k in 23:28.2. Eleanor Schnorr placed 29th (23:42.4), and McKenna Clark was 41st (24:00.3).

Puget Sound has a weekend off from competing before it hosts the Northwest Conference Championships at Fort Steilacoom Park, Nov. 2.
